Digital Beta

The San Diego Black Film Festival is old school: They will only play films in 35 mm or Digital Beta. Today I tried to chase down equipment at the University of Arizona and at UCLA that would convert DVD to Digital Beta. Both universities have the equipment but both have restrictions as to who can use it. Since I am not a faculty member of Media Arts, Television, Art. I can only look longingly at the free equipment. Now I need to find a service in town that can do the conversion for a fee.
